Laboratory

The Laboratory of Composite Materials at POLINER Sp. z o.o. carries out mechanical and strength tests of polymer composites, including Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liners and Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) laminates.

Akredytacja: AB 1808
563810.ilac-MRA

The main scope of activity of the Laboratory of Composite Materials includes determination of flexural (bending) properties and compression properties according to the methods set out in current Polish and international standards:

  • PN-EN ISO 178:2011 + A1:2013-06 “Plastics – Determination of flexural properties”, extended to include annex B of PN-EN ISO 11296-4:2011 “Plastics piping systems for renovation of underground non-pressure drainage and sewerage networks — Part 4: Lining with cured-in-place pipes” – up to 50 kN;
  • • PN-EN 1228:1999 “Plastic piping systems. Glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP) pipes. Determination of initial specific ring stiffness” – in the range up to 50 kN.

Additional activities of the Laboratory cover

  • ongoing inspection of raw materials, including testing the humidity, weight in grams, and degree of impregnation of combimats made of fiber glass and felt-structure nonwoven polyester fabrics, as well as testing resin viscosity, reactivity with proper initiators and catalysts, the degree of thickening and gel time,
  • supervising the quality of manufactured semi-finished products and final products, i.e. testing the percentages of individual components in the liner, testing the resin mixture, and degree of liner impregnation, determination of hardness, etc.

Our services are aimed at investors, manufacturers of materials for renovation of underground infrastructure, as well as building works contractors. We also welcome individual customers to do business with us. We are at your disposal and will be happy to analyze the scope of research you are interested in. We believe that we will become your partner for laboratory services.

We ensure full confidentiality of information and protection of client property rights by:

  • complying with the requirements and conditions set out by the customer in a contract/order regarding confidentiality and protection of customer rights
  • signing an obligation on professional confidentiality regarding any information obtained during the tests;
  • passing test results to the customer and using them only as agreed with the customer.

You are more than welcome to contact us and discuss the range of tests you need to perform.
